Corinth Films Acquires Pantelis Voulgaris’ Little England

Corinth Films has signed with Mikra Agglia S.A. to distribute Little England, the Oscar shortlist submission from Greece for Best Foreign Language Film directed and produced by husband and wife team Pantelis Voulgaris and Ioanna Karystiani (upon whose earlier book the script is based) about a tumultuous love story that takes place in the Greek archipelago of Andros during the 1930’s amidst an industry of seafaring notorious for fracturing familial and marital bonds.

Boyd van Hoeij of The Hollywood Reporter calls it a “handsomely mounted and impeccably acted film” and “a woman’s picture in every sense of the word.”

Little England is planned for a limited theatrical release later in 2015. Read more at Neo Magazine.

‘Two Hundred Thousand Dirty’ Theatrical Release January 2, 2015

Few things in life are more depressing than being stuck in a hopeless, dead-end job at a mattress store in a decaying urban strip mall. Native to this environment and products of outdated pop culture are Rob (Mark Greenfield) and Manny (Coolio), the unsuccessful, unrefined and uncouth sales force behind Affordable Mattress. The pair spend their days shifting around unsold inventory, taking smoke breaks, washing windows, and middling with employees from other stores in the strip mall.

‘Two Hundred Thousand Dirty’ opens January 2, 2015 at Arena Cinema, 1625 N. Las Palmas Ave, Hollywood, CA www.arenasreen.com.

Cool Stuff: Limited Edition Posters For ‘The Bicycle Thief’

In the limited edition poster game, you pretty much know the drill. You’re going to get really nice art for the same few dozen movies. It just so happens that movies like Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Star Wars, Jaws, etc. are the ones that most influenced the current crop of professional artists. In fact, it’s pretty rare that you get a piece of art for a movie that was made before 1975, let alone something foreign.

Enter FAMP Art, a new limited edition art company who is hoping to create works not from the regular hit films. They’re focusing only on the best in independent and foreign cinema. They checked both boxes with their first poster for City of God and next week, they’ll release a regular and variant for Vittorio De Sica‘s 1948 masterpiece, The Bicycle ThiefREAD MORE AT SLASH FILM
